Irene is a cosplayer, credentialed School Counselor, and YouTuber who combined her love for animated characters with her professional training. In December 2018, she was invited to attend the Kids Can Cosplay (KCC) Christmas Now! Charity Event where she played Violet Parr from Disney’s Incredibles. She loved seeing the smiles from kids and families, during that event and has participated in multiple KCC functions ever since including: hospital visits, community outreach, and as a convention panelist/moderator. Currently, she is helping the KCC convention team with behind the scenes magic.
As an educator, Irene believes that kids are the future and by encouraging imagination, joy, and play, they are not only building self-confidence, but also the ideology that they can be whoever they want to be. In Irene’s words, “There’s power in playing pretend – This is just practice for the real thing!”
